Leslie Erickson, violin earned a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from East Carolina University and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from Ithaca College in New York. She has been playing the violin for 20 years - years of local orchestras, chamber music, solo recitals, weddings and fiddling. Leslie is the owner of Club Violin and the contact person for booking weddings and events.
Bruce Erickson, trumpet graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. He has played trumpet for 24 years and was trained in classical and jazz. Before becoming a Captain and Carpenter, he worked with numerous high school bands and marched in the Drum and Bugle Corps, Star of Indiana; World Champions in 1991 and Brass Champions in 1992. Bruce performed at the 1996 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and the International Association of Jazz Educators Conference in California.
Stephanie Gleason Peppler, cello graduated from Sweet Briar College Summa cum Laude with a concentration in Music Performance. She has 15 years experience with various ensembles and orchestral groups, such as the Bay Youth Symphony Orchestra, Multi-Cello, The Virginia Beach Symphony Orchestra, and the Elizabeth City Symphony Orchestra. She frequently plays solo and chamber recitals, special events and weddings in Virginia Beach, Elizabeth City and the Outer Banks. She has taught cello privately for the last 6 years in Virginia and North Carolina and currently resides in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
Sue Waters, viola is a graduate of the University of Maryland, majoring in music education. She has played in freelance groups in the Washington, DC area at the Kennedy Center and Wolf Trap. She has been in the Pensacola, Virginia, Corpus Christi and Maryland Symphonies. Currently, Sue is the media specialist at Manteo High School, she teaches the strings program at Manteo Middle School and performs with Trio La Mer.
Nancy Monaghan, violin is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of music education from West Virginia University. Upon graduating, Ms. Monaghan began her teaching career as an orchestra director with the Chesapeake Public School system in Chesapeake, VA. Ms. Monaghan is currently in her 17th year teaching in Chesapeake and is the orchestra director at Hickory Middle School, where she teaches 180 young string musicians daily. Ms. Monaghan also maintains a private violin studio in her home, and remains active as a performer in the community playing at weddings, with various community groups, and with local bands.
Sarah Rollason, violin grew up in a musical environment with her first lessons at the age of 6. She studied with Joanne Bath, a well-known teacher in Eastern North Carolina, and spent many years performing in the Greenville area. She attended East Carolina University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Design. Currently, Sarah works full time as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker/Seaside Realty in Nags Head and performs numerous weddings on the Outer Banks. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys fishing and boating with her family.
Missy Braddy, cello began her Suzuki musical studies at the tender age of three. Although music was not her study of choice at East Carolina University, where she received both Bachelor & Master degrees in Accounting, she has played in numerous youth orchestras, including ECU's Youth Orchestra and the Wilmington Academy of Music's Youth Orchestra. She has played in numerous weddings & frequently plays solo recitals and special events. Missy is currently employed by Dare County Schools as their Payroll Technician and enjoys spending time with her husband & three beautiful children.
