Beth Argiro, viola is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory with a Bachelor's degree in Viola performance and a Master's Degree in Education. She has been a member of Viola section with the Virginia Symphony for 14 years and a Middle School Orchestra teacher for 23 years. Currently, Beth is the Orchestra Director at Indian River High School and Greenbrier Intermediate in Chesapeake, Virginia. Beth enjoys spending time with her husband, Vinny and their son, Louie, at their Outer Banks home.

Kim Kalman, vocals/guitar is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia. She earned her degree in business management while performing in local venues. After careful consideration, Kim chose to apply her business management skills to her own career in the music business. She followed her heart and never looked back. That road took her all the way to Nashville, Tennessee, where Kim has recorded all of her current CDs: Moonlight, At Last, Close, and her most recent releases, I'm Not Alone, A Christmas to Remember and Let the door swing wide. Mike Frohnapfel has been playing cello for eight years. During this time he has played in many ensembles including Hickory High School's Chamber Orchestra and Bay Youth Orchestra of Virginia. Mike was also accepted into the Virginia All-State Orchestra and the Governors School for the Arts. His teachers include Janet Kriner and Leslie Frittelli, both members of the Virginia Symphony. A gifted musician, Mike is attending Old Dominion University where he is studyingMusic Education and Cello performance.

Heather Smith is currently studying Music Education at Old Dominion University. She has been playing the violin for eight years and has performed in an Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, Central Park, the Kennedy Center, and the Vienna Concert Hall in Austria. She has also played as a violist in a string quartet at The Haydnsaal in Eisenstadt. In addition to her musical studies, Heather spends her time as a violinist and violist performing for weddings and teaching young students in the Hampton Roads area.

Dr. Steven Raisor attended the Berklee College of Music, received a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies from Barton College, a Masters in Music Performance from Norfolk State University, a Masters in Music Theory from Florida State University, and a Ph.D. in Humanities from Florida State University. Dr. Raisor is the Associate Professor of Music, Miles Clark Endowed Chair at College of the Albemarle where he teaches Music Theory, Music Appreciation, Applied Music, and Humanities. He serves as the director of the Community Band and musical theatre ensembles at COA. Dr. Raisor was voted 2008 Teacher of the Year at COA.

Ruth Wyand graduated from Richard Stockton College with a Bachelor Degree in Music Theory & Composition. She studied voice with acclaimed voice coach Kathryn Agresta in New York City and received a scholarship from The Martin Guitar Institute to attend Master Classes at Duquesne University. She has been playing and touring on various stages throughout the US, New Zealand, England, Bermuda, France and Canada for over 25 years.

John S. Husser III earned an Bachelor’s Degree in Music education from Virginia Tech. He has been performing as a Bassist and Cellist for the past 25 years at local events, weddings and as a sub with the Virginia Symphony. John has been a public school Orchestra Director for the past 17 years and currently teaches at Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake, Virginia. When not teaching or performing, he enjoys golfing, fishing and spending time with his wife and son.
